Cybercrime & Fraud Prevention
We raise public awareness and support initiatives that help Filipinos recognize, prevent, and respond to phishing, scams, ransomware, identity theft, and other forms of cybercrime. Digital Pinoys works with government agencies, technology platforms, and private-sector stakeholders to promote safer digital practices, strengthen consumer awareness, and address emerging online threats. Our engagements have included the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), Land Transportation Office (LTO), National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Meta, CIBI, and GCash, among others
Anti-Illegal Online Gambling
We monitor, document, and report illegal online gambling activities, including unlicensed gambling websites and individuals or influencers who promote them. Digital Pinoys works with government authorities and technology platforms to support efforts to identify, report, and address illegal gambling activities online while promoting greater public awareness of their risks and impact. As part of this work, Digital Pinoys donated an anti-illegal online gambling detection and monitoring tool to the CICC to support the agency’s efforts to identify and monitor illegal gambling websites.
Digital Consumer Advocacy
We advocate for the rights, safety, and interests of Filipinos as consumers of digital products, platforms, and services. Digital Pinoys raises consumer concerns, engages with regulators and service providers, and facilitates dialogue on issues affecting Filipinos in the digital economy. Our work has included engagements with government agencies and organizations on issues involving digital services, consumer protection, online safety, technology platforms, and emerging digital concerns.
